Dr. Charles C.N. Wang earned his Master's and Ph.D. degrees from Asia University in 2008 and 2014, respectively. He was an exchange scholar in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Irvine from 2011 to 2014. Currently, he holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Bioinformatics and Medical Engineering at Asia University. Dr Wang investigates foundations of AI to enhance scientific discovery and facilitate individualized diagnosis and treatment in medicine. Concurrently he serves as the Director of Industry-Academia Collaboration at Asia University and the Executive Director of the Precision Health Research Center. As a biomedical data scientist, his research has had a tangible impact, which has garnered the interest of government, academic, and industry researchers and has put new tools in the hands of practitioners. He possesses extensive research experience in various fields, including biomedical informatics, knowledge graphs, and the application of data science in biomedicine. He has authored over 70 academic research papers and holds multiple patents related to artificial intelligence applications in healthcare. Dr. Wang has substantial experience in industry-academic collaboration in smart healthcare, having collaborated with companies such as AWS, Delta Electronics, Trend Micro, Inventec, Baxter, and UMC in the development of intelligent health industry applications. Currently, he serves as a consultant for the Center for Drug Evaluation and the Water Resources Agency of Taiwan. He was invited to the 2020 NVIDIA GTC conference to share the future impact of artificial intelligence and GPU on precision healthcare.

He actively participates as an editorial board member in conferences such as the IEEE International Conference on BioInformatics and BioEngineering, IEEE International Conference on Robotic Computing, IEEE International Symposium on Multimedia, IEEE International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality, and IEEE International Conference on Electronic Communications, Internet of Things, and Big Data.
